Kherson Region to get $250 mln worth of investments thanks to new alternative energy facilities

In 2017, Kherson Region is expected to raise investments worth $250 million thanks to building new alternative energy facilities within its area.

Kherson Regional State Administration Head Andriy Hordeyev has stated this in a report on the administration's management performance for 2016, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“In 2017, thanks to new energy facilities [in Kherson Region - Ed.], we expect to reach 250 megawatts of [electrical power] generation output. It means another $250 million worth of real investments for the region,” Hordeyev said.

In addition, Kherson Region launched a number of projects in 2016, related to the construction of solar and wind power plants within Velyka Oleksandrivka, Kalanchak, Henichesk, Vysokopillia districts and the city of Skadovsk.
