European Commission approved allocation of second tranche worth EUR 600 mln to Ukraine

On Thursday the European Commission officially approved a decision to allocate the second tranche of the macro-financial assistance worth EUR 600 million to Ukraine.

An Ukrinform correspondent in Brussels learned from the European Commission.

"Together with this payment, the total amount of the macro-financial assistance, which the EU has been providing to Ukraine since 2014, will reach 2.81 billion euros," the European Commission said.

It is noted that this is the largest amounts of aid that the EU has allocated to a country that is not a member of the European Commonwealth.
