World Bank forecasting Ukraine’s economic growth in 2017, if reforms continue

The World Bank is forecasting Ukraine’s economic growth in 2017, if the country continues the process of reforms implementation.

Satu Kahkonen, the World Bank Country Director for Belarus, Moldova, and Ukraine stated this at the 13th annual investment conference in Kyiv, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

At the same time, she added that if reforms are not implemented, there are concerns it could be a slowdown in economy again.

According to her, Ukraine should focus on several areas. The first area refers to the fiscal and financial sector and its stability. Apart from these two areas, Ukraine should pay more attention to the pension system, tax administration and banking system, where much has already been achieved, but still there are things to be implemented.
