Ukraine could receive EU’s second tranche in coming weeks – Mingarelli

Ukraine could receive the second tranche of the macro-financial assistance from the European Union worth EUR 600 million in the coming weeks.

Head of the EU Delegation to Ukraine Hugues Mingarelli said this at the 13th Annual Investment Conference, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"Now we are implementing the second phase of the macro-financial assistance. The European Commission approved the decision to allocate the second tranche in the amount of EUR 600 million six weeks ago... These funds will be allocated in the coming weeks," Mingarelli said.

As reported, the European Union decided to grant Ukraine the second tranche of the macro-financial assistance as the Government of Ukraine had submitted to the Verkhovna Rada the bill to cancel the ban on round timber exports.
