Poroshenko: No trading with seized enterprises on occupied territories

In the course of the meeting with Minister for European and Foreign Affairs of Luxembourg Jean Asselborn, President Petro Poroshenko thanked for the support and solidarity of global leaders in the issue of countering Russian aggression.

“Our common position is aimed to restore Ukrainian sovereignty on the territories that are currently under occupation,” the President said. At the same time, he emphasized the importance of compliance with the Minsk agreements - the plan, which provides for the ceasefire, withdrawal of Russian troops and heavy artillery, restoration of Ukrainian control over the uncontrolled part of the Ukraine-Russia border.

The President stressed that due to the provocative actions of Russia, the situation in Donbas is being escalated. The Head of State reminded that Russia has recognized fake documents of the so-called DPR and LPR, later on Ukrainian enterprises who had been working within the Ukrainian legal field, paying taxes and salaries in hryvnias have been seized.

“After the seizure of these enterprises we cannot have any trade relations with these “confiscated” enterprises. We will not allow any of their activities. And we ask for support of these decisions, inter alia, through the enhancement of the EU sanctions against Russia, which allowed this brutal violation of international law,” Poroshenko emphasized.

The Head of State thanked the EU for the recent decision to continue sanctions caused by the illegal annexation of Crimea.
