First Deputy Energy Minister: Ukraine’s energy system operates stably

First Deputy Energy and Coal Industry Minister of Ukraine Halyna Karp says that in spite of the blocking of coal supplies in Donbas, the united energy system of Ukraine operates stably.

“At present the united energy system of Ukraine operates in a state of emergency, which was introduced in connection with the blockade in the east. But I’d like to assure everyone that at present the united energy system of Ukraine operates in a stable, normal mode,” Halyna Karp said.

As a reminder, railway lines, via which coal from the temporary occupied territories is supplied in Donbas, have been blocked for almost a month. Because of this, the Cabinet of Ministers introduced emergency measures in the energy sector.
