Energy Minister Nasalyk: Ukraine to consider possibility of purchasing coal from China and Australia

Ukraine will consider a possibility of purchasing coal from South Africa, China and Australia.

Energy and Coal Industry Minister Ihor Nasalyk said this following a meeting of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) on Thursday, February 17, Hromadske TV reports.

“We’ll have a national reserve. Funds are allocated for the national reserve of anthracite coal. There are not so many suitable options yet. These are South Africa, Australia and China,” he said.

Also, the situation connected with the blockade of energy system was discussed during the NSDC meeting.

As earlier reported, the Cabinet of Ministers planned to review a list of goods allowed to transport through a contact line in Donbas.
