President Poroshenko: Ukraine maintains ‘extremely limited’ relations with its occupied territories

Ukraine maintains extremely limited economic relations with the enterprises, which are located in the occupied territory of Donbas but stay within the legal field of Ukraine, seeking to restore the territorial integrity of our state.

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said this at a solemn meeting dedicated to the Day of Honoring Combatants in the Territory of Other States, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"We implement the strategy of restoring the country's territorial integrity, returning Donbas to Ukraine and returning Ukraine to Donbas. The implementation of this strategy is the sole reason for maintaining extremely limited economic relations. I would like to emphasize: we do not trade with the invaders, we cooperate with the enterprises, which have succeeded in staying within the legal field of Ukraine and have been paying taxes in the budget of Ukraine despite their location in the occupied territories," Poroshenko said.
