PM Groysman says there will be no medicine shortage in 2017

Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman says Government will manage to ensure drug stocks in 2017.

He stated this on ICTV on Monday, the government's press service reports.

Government in the budget for 2017 increased spending on the purchase of medicines by UAH 2 billion - to UAH 5.9 billion compared with 2016, the prime minister noted. According to him, Government last year saved over half a billion hryvnias on the procurement of medicines via international organizations.

"Just imagine the number of 5.9 billion, how much we've managed to save, how more we'll gain, if we prevent stealing, and how many oncology patients, or patients with difficult conditions, these drugs can save,” Groysman stressed.
