Cost of ingredients for Ukrainian traditional borsch grew by 2.4%

In December 2016, the cost of ingredients needed for the Ukrainian traditional borsch soup cooked with meat grew by 2.6% and without meat - by 2.4% compared with November 2016, according to the Economic Discussion Club.

Thus, in December 2016, the cost of borsh ingredients for 3.5 - 4 liters of water totaled: UAH 67.55 with meat and UAH 15.50 without meat.

The cost of borsch cooked with meat grew by 2.4% compared with November. The rise in cost took place due to the increase in consumer prices in December, almost of all the ingredients of borsch, apart from the sunflower oil.
