Mykolaiv region produces one fifth of Ukraine's wind and solar electricity output

Over 11 months of 2016, Mykolaiv Region has produced 17% of Ukraine's wind and solar electricity output, EcoTown specialized resource for alternative energy in Ukraine reports.

In particular, the region produced 16.5 billion kilowatt-hour of electricity, which is 12.4% more than that recorded for the same period in 2015.

Meanwhile, nuclear power plants also increased electricity generation by 12.6%, hydroelectric power plants - by 9.3%. Thermal power plants reduced electricity generation by 6.7%.

In general, Mykolaiv Region facilities produced 11% of Ukraine's total electricity output in January-November 2016, including 22% of nuclear energy.
