Lviv allocates UAH 70 mln to solve problem with garbage

A total of UAH 70 million is stipulated in Lviv budget for 2017 to buy a new land plot for solid waste landfill to clean up a city dump near the village of Hrybovychi outside Lviv.

This decision is envisaged in the Lviv main financial document for 2017, which has been approved by the executive committee of Lviv City Council, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"The budget of development includes funds to purchase a new landfill within the area to recycle waste and clean up the city dump near Hrybovychi, [UAH] 30 and 40 million respectively,” said the head of the economic policy department at Lviv City Council Iryna Kulynych.
