Poroshenko, Biden discuss reforms, cooperation with IMF

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko had a phone conversation with U.S. Vice President Joseph Biden.

This has been reported by the press service of the Head of State.

The parties discussed the situation in Donbas and the course of the Minsk agreements implementation. Joseph Biden praised humanitarian initiatives of Petro Poroshenko aimed to liberate Ukrainian hostages from captivity of Russian militants.

The President is hopeful that the United States would continue the policy of sanctions against Russia, inter alia, taking into account crimes committed in Aleppo.

The parties also discussed the course of Ukrainian reforms and the issue of Ukraine-IMF cooperation.
