Volodymyr Kistion: Ukraine purchases up to 9 mln tonnes of coal per year from occupied territories

Ukraine purchases up to 9 million tonnes of coal per year from the occupied territories in Donbas.

Vice Prime Minister for ATO Issues and Occupied Territories Volodymyr Kistion said this on TV Channel 24.

“We get up to 9 million tonnes of coal per year from the occupied territories. It is produced there by Ukrainian companies that are registered in Ukraine and pay taxes to the state budget. Many companies there do business in the sphere of coal supplies. Of course, it is very risky,” Kistion said.

He also added that “these are not only the companies of [Rinat] Akhmetov”.
