EU bans poultry imports from Ukraine

The State Service of Ukraine for Food Safety and Consumer Protection has received formal notice of ban on the export of poultry meat and its products to the EU because of avian influenza spotted in Kherson region.

The press office of the Service reported this on Tuesday.

According to the report, in connection with registration of highly pathogenic avian influenza in Kherson region and in accordance with international obligations and transparency of Ukraine to international trading partners, our state informed its major trading partners, including the European Commission, of measures taken to prevent further spread of this disease.
