Cooperation with IMF not extended this year as Ukraine fails to fulfill some commitments - Bleyzer Fund

As Ukraine failed to fulfill a number of commitments owed to the International Monetary Fund, in particular privatization, the cooperation with the fund will not be continued this year.

Executive Director of the Bleyzer Foundation Oleh Ustenko said this at a press conference in Kyiv, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

"It is obvious that there is a serious deceleration in our cooperation with the International Monetary Fund. Ukraine has not fulfilled a number of commitments. I can draw the conclusion that this year the cooperation with the IMF will not be continued," he said.

According to Ustenko, if the cooperation with the IMF is not saved, then Ukraine will have to forget about a part of foreign exchange reserves.

Recall, as of the end of October, the volume of foreign exchange reserves amounted to $15.5 billion.
