Ukraine not to receive IMF tranche this year if MPs not approve budget in early December – NBU

If the Parliament does not approve the draft state budget for 2017 in early December, the possibility of obtaining tranche from the International Monetary Fund before the end of the year is almost equal to zero.

Deputy Chairman of the National Bank of Ukraine Oleh Chury said this at a press briefing on a new concept of currency regulation, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

"Formally, we leave our forecast for the tranche from the IMF in the amount of $1.3 billion [till the end of the year], but we understand that the possibility of obtaining this tranche depends on the Parliament, which has to adopt the budget at the beginning of December," he said.
