PM Groysman: Ukraine should develop national economy, not ask for external aid

Ukraine should develop its national economy and not ask for support and assistance from other developed countries year in year out.

Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman said this during a visit to the state-owned enterprise Antonov, the only Ukrainian designer and manufacturer of cargo and passenger planes, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"We need to develop the national economy. This will help us to do without external assistance. Now such assistance is vital to us. However, I believe that it is unacceptable to ask for support and help year in year out, having such potential and capabilities," Groysman said.

He stressed that Ukraine could produce high-quality airplanes, cars, tractors, special equipment for the energy industry and other equipment. "This is a good opportunity for creating new jobs," the PM added.
