EU Commissioner Šefčovič to discuss gas transit through Ukraine in Moscow

Vice-President of the European Commission for the Energy Union Maroš Šefčovič will make a working visit to Moscow on Friday, November 25 to reach an agreement on the uninterrupted gas transit to European consumers through Ukraine.

An Ukrinform correspondent in Brussels learnt this from the European Commission.

"Vice-President Maroš Šefčovič will be in Moscow on November 25. He will meet with Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak," the press service informs.

The European Commission’s press service notes that the program of the visit is still to be confirmed, but the major talking points will be reliability of Russian gas supplies to European consumers during the winter period, as well as other aspects of bilateral cooperation.
