Vice PM Kubiv: 1.8% GDP growth in Q3 is a sign of economic recovery in Ukraine

Ukraine`s GDP grew by 1.8% in the third quarter of 2016 compared with the same period last year, which a sign of economic recovery in the country. 

Ukrainian Vice Prime Minister – Economic Development and Trade Minister Stepan Kubiv stated this at a meeting dedicated to the Strategy for Small and Medium Enterprises Development till 2020, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Yesterday Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman stated that GDP grew to 1.8% in the third quarter,” Kubiv said.

According to Kubiv, these figures show that the Ukrainian economy has started recovering, but this process is not rapid.

“These [changes] should be seen in the life quality of an ordinary citizen, but unfortunately, still it hasn’t taken place,” he said.
