Groysman, IMF mission head discuss reforms in Ukraine

Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman and Head of the IMF mission Ron van Rooden discussed at a meeting on Friday the issues of Ukraine's cooperation with the IMF, the budget process, raising the minimum wage in Ukraine, as well as the government's plans concerning further reforms.

This has been reported by Government’s portal.

"The Government and I as Prime Minister consider our cooperation with the International Monetary Fund as a priority task, as well as the implementation of our joint program, in order to change the situation in our country and to provide the necessary structural reforms," the Head of Government said.

Groysman said that for six months the Government managed to achieve some progress. Thus, the Cabinet of Ministers held a deregulation in the energy and pharmaceutical markets, started civil service reform, abolished the state regulation of prices for products, continued decentralization, as well as fight against corruption.
