Minister: Europe puts up barriers to Ukrainian products due to their high competitiveness

Ukrainian agricultural products are very competitive in the EU market, so Europe puts up a maximum of barriers not to let Ukrainian products enter the market.

Agrarian Policy and Food Minister of Ukraine Taras Kutovy said this on the air of ICTV Ukrainian TV channel.

"Our products are very competitive in Europe. Cost of production of these products is very low. Therefore, Europe really puts up a maximum of barriers to Ukrainian products not to let them enter," Kutovy said.

Thus, as noted by the Minister, chicken and eggs from Ukraine have lower production cost, but not lower quality. "So Europe closes its markets. Where it is possible to push these markets, we succeed in doing that," the Minister said.
