Former Finance Minister Jaresko plans to create financial consortium for Ukraine to tune of USD 25 bn

Former Ukrainian Finance Minister Natalie Jaresko has taken the initiative to create an international investment consortium with Ukraine of USD 25 bn that should be spent on development of the infrastructure, governance, schools and hospitals.

She said this on Tuesday in Washington during a speech to the influential think tank Atlantic Council, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

"What I am proposing is an international consortium of bilateral and multilateral partners, which will provide strong support forUkraine in the amount of USD 25 bn over five years, investment in real infrastructure," said the former official.

The condition set for Ukraine should be, according to her, implementation of reforms, including a system of governance in the tax area, education, health and other areas.
