Exports in trade turnover between Ukraine and Turkey exceed imports by half

Trade turnover between Ukraine and Turkey has exceeded $2 billion since the beginning of 2016, namely exports have come to $1.4 billion.

Ukrainian State Fiscal Service Head Roman Nasirov has stated this at a meeting with a delegation of the Customs and Trade Ministry of the Republic of Turkey, the press service of the Ukrainian State Fiscal Service reports on its official website.

“Trade turnover between Ukraine and Turkey has exceeded $2 billion since the beginning of 2016, including $1.4 billion worth of exports and $667 million worth of imports,” the report states.

According to Nasirov, the common goal of the two countries is to create comfortable conditions for Ukrainian and Turkish business by means of high-quality services and further improvement of customs procedures.

The Turkish side has already submitted draft intergovernmental documents expected to intensify cooperation between customs authorities of the two countries and create favorable conditions for Ukrainian and Turkish business. Currently, the parties are discussing the exchange of preliminary information between customs authorities of the two countries and cooperation related to customs statistical information exchange.
