PM Rozenko: Minimum social standards to be raised by at least 10% in 2017

The rate of social standards growth in 2017 will outpace inflation, Ukrainian Vice Prime Minister Pavlo Rozenko has said, the government’s official website reports.

"We expect that inflation will not exceed 8% in 2017, while social standards - minimum wages, minimum pensions and salaries of state employees will grow by at least 10%," he said.

At the same time, he noted that if economic situation becomes better, the government can decide on a significant increase in social standards.

“If the economic situation becomes better, the economy produces more resources, if there are additional funds in the budget, then the government will decide on a substantial increase in social standards,” the vice prime minister said.
