Norway to assist Ukraine in raising economic efficiency

The Ukrainian government and the Norwegian government will cooperate to increase the volume of mutual trade, implement certain investment projects, fulfil transit obligations in good faith, raise energy efficiency and effectively implement financial aid in Ukraine,.

The press service of the Ukrainian Energy and Coal Industry Ministry has reported this after the first meeting of the Ukrainian-Norwegian intergovernmental commission on cooperation in trade, entrepreneurship and economics in Oslo, headed by Ukrainian Energy and Coal Industry Minister Ihor Nasalyk and Norwegian Trade and Industry Minister Monica Miland.

“The Ukrainian side sets a high value on this meeting as a practical mechanism for further development of investment, trade and economic cooperation between the two countries,” Nasalyk said.

He also added that Ukraine considers European integration as an extra impulse to domestic reforms, and thus, the Ukrainian government relies on further support of Norway.
