Ukraine’s Cabinet of Ministers approves draft state budget for 2017

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine approved the draft law on the state budget of Ukraine for 2017.

This decision was taken at the Cabinet’s meeting on Thursday evening, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman noted that the draft budget had determined the Government’s proposals to increase salaries for teachers and doctors. Other priorities include energy field, agricultural sector, national security and defense, continuation of the decentralization reform.

In keeping with the budget resolution for 2017, the Ukrainian government plans to set the minimum wages at the same level as the subsistence rate.
