State Fiscal Service launches mobile groups to combat corruption

Today, September 5, the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine launches the work of interdepartmental mobile groups so as to step up the fight against smuggling and corruption at customs.

This has been reported by the press service of the State Fiscal Service.

"Today we are launching the work of 20 mobile groups – this is the next step in reforming customs. The purpose of the mobile groups is stepping up the fight against smuggling and corruption at customs, raising efficiency of customs control of goods and combating violations at customs," Chairman of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine Roman Nasirov said.

According to the State Fiscal Service, the main task of mobile groups will be special reports by an analytical group of the Interdepartmental Centre, which was set up two weeks ago.

The composition of the Interdepartmental Target Centre and mobile groups include representatives of the State Fiscal Service, the State Border Guard Service and the National Police. Each mobile group will include two representatives of the State Fiscal Service. Mobile groups will operate 24 hours a day across the whole territory of Ukraine.
