Ukraine, Malaysia sign agreement on avoidance of double taxation

An agreement on avoidance of double taxation, which was signed today between the governments of Ukraine and Malaysia, will allow enhancing business contacts and attracting investors. 

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko said this at a joint news conference with Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"We think that the agreement on avoidance of double taxation will contribute to these opportunities for business and help intensify our business contacts and attract investors," President Poroshenko said.

Thus, according to him, the two countries confirmed the interest in expanding the full range of bilateral relations.

President Poroshenko stressed that Ukraine has a lot of interesting projects for cooperation, including joint participation in the implementation of space programs, supply of Ukrainian food and medicines, and provision of Antonov transport aircrafts for the defense industry

In addition, President Poroshenko said that the sides agreed to accelerate the launch of the Ukraine-Malaysia trade commission. It is planned that the first session of the commission will be held this year.
