Malaysian PM: Malaysia can participate in privatization of Ukrainian companies

Prime Minister of Malaysia Najib Razak says that Ukraine and Malaysia can develop mutual cooperation in many spheres, in particular in the sphere of privatization of Ukrainian companies.

Prime Minister of Malaysia Najib Razak said this at a news conference, held in the scope of Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko’s visit to Malaysia.

“I’m sure that this visit will deepen relations between Malaysia and Ukraine. I hope our peoples will use the possibilities of the both countries,” the prime minister said.

Razak stressed that Ukraine is an attractive state for foreign investors, including the Malaysian investors.

“We also discussed the participation of Malaysian companies in privatization. President Poroshenko would like to do this for his country. And we agreed that there are all possibilities for this,” he said.

According to the Malaysian prime minister, the Malaysians can participate in Ukrainian projects that concern railways, sea port management, energy companies, as well as housing and municipal complexes.
