Ukraine increases volume of reverse gas flow from Poland, Slovakia

Ukraine has increased the daily volume of reverse gas flow from Poland by 48% to 4.2 million cubic meters, and from Slovakia by 25%, to 30 million cubic meters.

Maksym Biliavsky, the spokesperson of Ukraine's gas transmission system operator Ukrtransgaz, wrote this on Facebook.

“We received a request for daily pumping of gas to Ukraine along the Polish route - 4.2 million cubic meters. The daily capacity is 4.3 million cubic meters. As for the Slovak route, there has been an increase in a request by 25%, to 30 million cubic meters per day,” he wrote.

Biliavsky also added that the Polish corridor is loaded by 98%, and Slovak - by 74%.

According to the association of European operators of underground gas storage facilities (GSE), as of July 28 there were 10.428 billion cubic meters of gas in Ukrainian underground storage facilities.
