The Ukrainian government will launch in August the next stage of the customs office reforms following the example of national police reforms starting, Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman told a Cabinet meeting Wednesday, Ukrinform has reported.

"We have launched reforms of the customs office. We have received U.S. support in technical and financial sectors. On July 11, U.S. technical mission will complete its assessment of Ukrainian customs service’s needs. Another wave of reforming the customs service based on the example of implementing reforms for national police will begin in September," said Groysman.

He noted that already a single window for services at the customs offices has already been established.

"We have cut the abuse during customs clearance of goods. We have increased the requirements for customs officials, implemented photographic and video footage of their actions. All of these steps will come into effect from August 1," the premier noted.
