Poroshenko expects Bulgaria to invest in Ukrainian railways, energy

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has assured Bulgarian entrepreneurs that investment climate in Ukraine has improved significantly as a result of reforms and invited them to start business in Ukraine.

Poroshenko said this during the joint press conference with Bulgarian President Rosen Plevneliev in Sofia, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"We have a huge potential of our relationship, which further grows as deep and comprehensive free trade area with the European Union has been launched. As a result of the reforms, we have greatly improved the investment climate in Ukraine. We are waiting for the Bulgarian entrepreneurs, who will be able to come, start business and will be protected by Ukrainian laws," he said.

As for specific arrangements, Poroshenko noted Ukraine and Bulgaria would start to cooperate in launch of passenger rail service.

A number of agreements was also reached on projects in energy and military-technical cooperation between the states.
