PM Groysman: World Bank ready to allocate another $1 bln to Ukraine

Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman held talks with World Bank Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer Sri Mulyani Indrawati in Washington on Thursday, June 16.

“We’ve agreed that the World Bank will help us to develop a strategy of transport corridors and roads for Ukraine, as well as to assess the resources needed for this, and determine where we should attract budget, credit or private resources,” Groysman wrote on his Facebook page.

According to him, Ukraine hasn’t had such a strategy before, and its realization could promote Ukraine’s economic revival.

“And there is good news. The World Bank is ready to work with us to review the efficiency of programs, for which the financing has been already foreseen, and to provide an additional one billion dollars to expand them from the next year,” he said.
