Defense Ministry saves half a billion hryvnias via e-procurement system

The Ukrainian Defense Ministry has saved over half a billion hryvnias via the e-procurement system, according to Volodymyr Hulieyvych, Director of Department of State Procurement and Supply of Material Resources at the Defense Ministry of Ukraine.

“Since the start of 2016, about UAH 200 million was saved on the procurement of fuel and lubricants, UAH 374 million on the procurement of foodstuffs, and about UAH 90 million on the procurement of military uniform and gear,” Hulevhych said on Wednesday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

In addition, according to him, the ministry continues to use the e-procurement system to purchase military uniform and gear.
