Unified social tax rate will not be raised, says Vice PM Rozenko

The Government has no plans to reconsider its decision on the unified social tax rate, but expects de-shadowing of business, according to Ukrainian Vice Prime Minister Pavlo Rozenko.

“The Government agreed to reduce the unified social tax rate, taking a step towards business. On the one hand, this step is not easy for the Pension Fund, but due to the decrease in tax burden, we also expect the de-shadowing of business, the creation of new jobs, and an increase in wages in the legal sector of economy,” he said on the air of the 112 Ukraine TV channel.

Rozenko also stressed that due to the reduction in unified social tax rate, enterprises will have additional resource they can use, in particular, for raising wages.
