Poroshenko orders preparation of documents for Ukraine's accession to International Renewable Energy Agency

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has given the order to apply for Ukraine to join the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA).

The corresponding decree was published on the Presidential website. "To find appropriate Ukraine's accession to the Charter of the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA)," the decree reads.

Thus, Poroshenko instructed Serhiy Savchuk, the Chairman of the State Agency on Energy Efficiency and Energy Saving of Ukraine, to ensure submission of an application for membership of Ukraine in the International Renewable Energy Agency in the prescribed manner.

At the same time, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine should stipulate in the budget of Ukraine the payment of membership dues to the International Renewable Energy Agency.
