Almost 2 tonnes of banned imported vegetables and fruits destructed in Crimea

In Crimea almost 2 tonnes of vegetables and fruits have been withdrawn by the law enforcement officers at Simferopol wholesale market and destroyed.

A relevant report was posted on the Krym.Realii online publication, with a reference to the Crimean prosecutor’s office.

"It was established that at the market the products were sold that are restricted for imports in line with relevant decrees of the Russian president, and Europe and Turkey were the countries of origin [of these products]. In general, we found nearly 2 tonnes of sanctioned fruits and vegetables that were removed and destroyed on the same day,” reads the statement.

According to the Crimean prosecutor’s office, the law enforcement officers conducted checks “on the observance of the realization of agrarian products and migration legislation”.
