Yatsenyuk guarantees a raise in social standards

Social standards will be raised by 6% from May 1, and by 12% in general over the year.

Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk said this during “10 minutes with prime minister” program on Sunday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“On the whole this year we’re planning to raise social standards by 12%,” Yatsenyuk stressed, noting that the first stage of raising by 6% will take place in May.

The head of government also underscored he charged relevant ministries with drafting special legislative acts “so that each citizen of the country can receive increased salaries and pensions in May of the current year”.
