Government in 2016 to allocate UAH 1 bln to assist consolidated territorial communities

The Cabinet of Ministers in 2016 will allocate UAH 1 billion assistance to improve education, medical services and infrastructure to 159 consolidated territorial communities of Ukraine.

Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk informed this at a government meeting on Wednesday, March 16, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“We have approved the legislation on voluntarily consolidation of communities. As a result of this work, 159 territorial communities have been consolidated… We have foreseen UAH 1 billion in the budget for this year for the direct financial assistance to the consolidated territorial communities,” he said.

According to him, the volume of funds to be allocated to a consolidated community will depend on the number of people in it.
