Government of Japan renders financial assistance to Ukraine

The government of Japan has rendered financial assistance worth $335,000 to Ukraine under the Human Security Projects of the Kusanone Programme.

The signing ceremony of grant agreements on projects took place in Kyiv, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“The government of Japan is granting financial aid in medical and educational spheres, as it understands that currently funds are mostly spent on the defense of the country, and that’s why funds are significantly reduced for other spheres,” Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Ukraine, Shigeki Sumi said at the signing ceremony of grant agreements.

He also informed that the funds would be spent for the implementation of five projects in Ivano-Frankivsk, Zakarpattia, Lviv and Cherkasy regions.
