Pensions paid only to people living in territories controlled by Ukrainian government – Rozenko

Pensions can receive only those people who are registered and permanently live in the territories controlled by the Ukrainian government, Social Policy Minister Pavlo Rozenko has said.

“The person, who in fact is not a settler, cannot get the financial assistance. The current law clearly states that the requirement for providing pensions is the permanent registration and residence in the territories controlled by the Ukrainian government,” Rozenko told the press conference on Thursday, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

As a reminder, on February 19, 2016, Rozenko said that 150,000 payments to settlers were halted, because the lists had been submitted by the Security Service of Ukraine. Checks on possible fictitious payments to the settlers are currently carried out.
