Yatsenyuk says Naftogaz will gain profits this year

The appointment of new “non-politicized” heads will improve financial showings of 50 largest state-run companies, Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk has said.

“If we continue appointing independent heads of 50 largest state-run companies, independent from politicians, government and any other business interests, this will give an opportunity to improve financial results of these companies,” Yatsenyuk said during his weekly address on TV Channel 5, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

He also stressed that such staff changes had been already carried out at NJSC Naftogaz of Ukraine, “which a year ago suffered $10 billion losses, while this year it will be profitable”.
