Sumy Regional State Administration initiates establishment of regional large taxpayer office

Sumy Regional State Administration initiates the establishment of the regional large taxpayers office of the specialized state tax inspection.

First Deputy Head of Sumy Regional State Administration Oleksandr Marchenko said this to the correspondent of Ukrinform.

"This step will enable 15 oblast enterprises, which in 2016 in line with legislative changes were transferred to Kyiv and Kharkiv, to return and get services in Sumy oblast. The application for the establishment of the Sumy large taxpayers office of the specialized state tax inspection of the SFS Interregional Main Directorate has been sent to the management of the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine," the official said.

According to him, this decision was made due to the systemic work of the OSA with fiscal services and large taxpayers and based on a thorough analysis of the situation. Thus, after being transferred to other regions the above-mentioned companies faced a number of inconveniences related to the distance between the SSTI and the actual location of enterprises and insufficiency of appropriate services.

According to Marchenko, today the priority of the oblast leadership is to improve the services to large taxpayers and avoid losses to the oblast budget, as mentioned enterprises are bona fide taxpayers and are key contributors to the oblast budget.

Therefore, having analyzed the experience of Poltava and Volyn oblasts, where businesses were able to get services due to establishment in these regions of the relevant offices, Sumy Regional State Administration addressed the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine with a proposal to create a similar service in Sumy oblast.
