11 projects on promoting rural business being realized in Ukraine

The Ukrainian government has stated that 11 various international projects on promoting and empowering small and medium-sized businesses in rural areas are being currently implemented in Ukraine.

“At present 11 projects of international technical assistance are being realized. The main donors are the European Union, the government of the United States, Canada, Germany and Switzerland. A total amount funds attracted by projects is over $76 million,” reads a report posted on the government portal.

In addition, measures have been taken on broadening the access for rural producers to the programs of state support by reducing some restrictions.

"To provide the access to state support for not only large agricultural producers, but also small and medium-sized ones by removing restrictions on facilities of livestock farms and complexes, which can apply for a partial reimbursement of construction and reconstruction costs,” according to the cabinet report.
