The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has approved as a basis and as a whole draft law No.3559 on public procurement.

A total of 244 MPs voted on a relevant bill, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“The draft law will save up to UAH 4.5 billion next year, while in 2017 it will save up to UAH 35 to UAH 40 billion,” Deputy Economic Development and Trade Minister Maksym Nefedov said.

According to an explanatory note, the bill envisages the regulation of procurement carried out from UAH 50,000 till the application threshold, what will promote the transparent use of budget funds.

The draft law also stipulates the conducting of state procurement by using two competitive procedures of regulation: public bids and a competitive dialog, as well as one uncompetitive - a negotiable procurement procedure.
