Yatsenyuk: Amount of Ukraine’s debts reduced by $7 bln
Ukraine has managed to curtail the amount of foreign debts by $7 billion.
Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk said during his speech in the Verkhovna Rada on December 11, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“When we came in the Ukrainian government, the general amount of Ukraine’s debts totaled $ 73 billion. We have carried out the restructurization, due to which a part of debts was written off, while another part of debts was divided into four years. These were not us who took these loans… The amount of Ukraine’s debt obligations at present totals $66 billion,” he said.
Yatsenyuk also noted that “minus 7 billion is the answer to those who said that we only take loans and increase debts. We have learnt to take loans and reduce debts”.
