Firtash exports Crimean titanium – Chubarov

State-owned Joint-Stock Company "Crimean Titanium", partially owned by Ukrainian tycoon Dmitry Firtash, gets raw materials from Ukraine and exports finished products through Ukrainian ports.

Chairman of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar People Refat Chubarov said this in an interview with Ukrinform correspondent in Paris.

"There is the Crimean titanium plant (state-owned "Crimean Titan"), which is supplied raw materials, particularly titanic iron ore used for titanium production, from the mainland Ukraine. The company produces finished products, which are subsequently transported to the territory of Ukraine, marked (as produced in Ukraine) and exported through the Ukrainian ports," Chubarov said, speaking about cooperation with the occupier in Crimea.

According to him, the economic blockade of the Russian-occupied Crimea will take effect only if all Ukrainian business entities join it.

As a reminder, 50% of shares of the "Crimean Titan" are owned by OSTCHEM Holding AG, combining chemical and mining assets of the Group DF investment holding of Dmitry Firtash. After Crimea had been occupied, the Russian authorities demanded to register the company in the Russian Federation.
