PM: International partners have supplied military aid worth about $1.5B to Ukraine

To date, the international partners have provided Ukraine with military and defensive assistance to the tune of about $1.5 billion.

"Ukraine today feels the highest level of support in the political, security, and economic spheres. We appreciate this and are extremely grateful for financial and defense support, for the steadfast stance on defending the sovereignty and territorial integrity of our state. Our partners have already supplied military and defensive assistance aid to Ukraine to the tune of about $1.5 billion. A number of countries now consider the possibility of providing military and financial assistance to Ukraine," Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal said at the Cabinet’s meeting, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

Shmyhal thanked the international partners on behalf of the Government of Ukraine for their significant contribution to strengthening the defense capabilities of our country.

As reported, on January 19, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken announced at a press conference in Kyiv that the United States intended to send new batches of security assistance to Ukraine in the coming weeks and would increase the support in the event of new Russian aggression.
