Ukraine, U.S. enhancing cooperation in defense industry

Ukraine’s State Concern Ukroboronprom and the U.S. Institute for Defense Analyses (IDA) have signed a cooperation agreement to strengthen partnerships in the defense industry.

"As part of the implementation of agreements reached between the political leadership of the countries, on November 11, a cooperation agreement was signed between the State Concern Ukroboronprom and the U.S. Institute for Defense Analyses (IDA)," reads the report.

In particular, the agreement provides for a strategic analysis of Ukraine’s defense industry on the issues of reorganization and corporatization of Ukroboronprom, assistance in implementing innovative programs and advice on best practices of corporate governance.

"IDA's scientific, technical and analytical experience in reforming Ukraine's defense industry will help us implement standards of corporate governance, efficiency, sustainability, and transparency," Ukroboronprom's press service added.
